Dr. Tony Brown is a native of Atwood, Kansas. He graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016 from University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry after completing a series of externships including the Kansas City VA Medical Center and Pepose Vision Institute in St. Louis. These rotations emphasized ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, post-surgical co-management, and pediatrics. Dr. Brown is a member of American Optometric Association and a graduate of the initial AOA Leadership Institute, a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, Student Optometric Leadership Network, and served as the President of the private practice club. Dr. Brown is a local member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. While not working, Dr. Brown enjoys officiating local high school athletes, attending sporting events, constantly working on his golf game, and enjoying the company of friends and family.

Jamie has been with the practice since 1999. She grew up on her family's farm in Frankfort, Kansas, where her parents still manage and reside. Jamie is married to Justin McDonald and they have two grown children, Mason and Elana. Jamie is active with the Grow Clay County Outreach Committee and a member of the Grow Clay County Board of Directors.  Jamie enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with family and friends at the lake. 

After growing up in Missouri and attending high school and college, Afton moved to Clay Center and has been with our office for 16 years. She and her husband have three children; Sophie, Logan, and Maycie. Afton and her family attend church regularly at Alert Covenant Church in Leondarville, KS. She enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs. Often times, you will find them either in a gym or on the ball fields. In her down time, she likes to go for walks, read, and play volleyball (sand and court). 

Ally grew up in Clay Center and graduated from Clay Center Community High School. Ally has been with the practice since 2021. She lives on a farm with her husband two dogs.  Together with her husband they own and operate Anderson Tree Service. In her free time she enjoys going to the lake, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Dene' has been with our office over 20 years. Her hometown is Barnes, Kansas and she attended Manhattan Area Technical College. She and her husband Mark have three children; Rusty, Jordan, and Kendra. Family time is important to her. Dene' enjoys being outdoors, fishing, kayaking, and country cruising in the range.

Jan was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas and went to high school there. Somehow, she ended up at Kansas State University to get a BS in Home Economics. She is on her second tour with our office having been here 20 years plus previous years. Jan and her husband Tim have two children, a son-in-law, and two granddaughters. Her hobbies include quilting, camping and tailgating at KSU football games. But most important to her is spending time with family.

Jann, who calls Beatrice, Ne home, has been with our office over 19 years. Her post-secondary education includes study at University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture (Horticulture). She and her husband Dick have 18 grandchildren. They enjoy camping and spending time with the family. Jann's favorite pastimes include reading, Pinterest and "treasure hunting."

Mary has been with our office over 15 years and has an interest in office technology. She is a local graduate from Washington High School and also graduated from Cloud County Community College. She and her husband Ron have daughters, Kelsie and Leslie, and step-children, Bob and Christy. Mary enjoys cross stitch and reading, but her favorite leisure activity is fishing. Family time is important to her.
